I understand from looking at it that the on-line manual is not really
production quality, but the one thing that I'd really like to see is
documentation for the middle mouse button.

Until yesterday, I had been thinking that the polygon object is simply
not properly implemented yet, because I could not find a way to add
more points. (The facility is indirectly referred to in the Dia FAQ,
and if I hadn't stumbled over it there, I would still try to make do
without access to proper polygons.)

I would like to suggest that whoever is responsible for the
documentation prioritizes the following: 

 1. A brief summary of the mouse buttons for the Quickstart section
    (I guess between "Creating a Canvas" and "Making a Diagram" would
    be a suitable place) [usage-quickstart.sgml]

 2. Attach explanation of what the middle mouse button does for each
    shape where this is applicable in the "Bsic Objects" chapter
    [usage-objects-basic.sgml]

 3. Possibly something for the "Objects" chapter, too? Just before
    the subsection "Object Properties"would seem like a good place to
    add essentially a repeat of item #1

I am not completely alien to the idea to volunteer to make these
changes, if it makes sense for me to do that, but I would require a
certain amount of coordination from the package owner or someone in a
similar position.
