w3m breaks the default mouse behaviour (cut and paste) in X and on the
console. The "use_mouse" option in /etc/w3m/w3mconfig should be set to 0

You can cut & paste by pressing Shift button with mouse operations.

Er, why leave it open at all, Bas can just use the -no-mouse switch to
get the behavior he wants. Or go into options and turn off "Use mouse"
to make it stick.

see shy jo, wonderiny why anyone would want to have an open, wontfixed

Yes, I know that I can do that. However, I think applications should not
by default change the default gpm and X copy'n'paste mouse behaviour.

W3m's behavior with mouse support on _is_ the default gpm behavior. It
is unfortunate that this does conflict with standard copy/paste
behavior, but that's a design issue of gpm..
