Subject: lynx-ssl: Adding fragment identifier doesn't change the URL looked at
Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2001 21:47:12 -0400
Package: lynx-ssl
Version: 2.8.4.2-1
Severity: normal

Here is the bug:

1. Go to <http://www.debian.org/intro/about>.
2. Press 'G'.
3. Add '#what' to go to <http://www.debian.org/intro/about#what>.
4. Press '='.
5. Lynx shows that we are still looking at
   <http://www.debian.org/intro/about> instead of
   <http://www.debian.org/intro/about#what>. Following the "WHAT is
Debian anyway?" link does go to
   <http://www.debian.org/intro/about#what>, as it should.

Regards,

Hugo

agree: it doesn't do that - I did a quick check on 2.8.3 and don't see that
it's something that I broke, so this looks like a feature that simply was
never implemented. It doesn't sound very hard to do.

I fixed this, but it wasn't marked as completed:

2002-10-06 (2.8.5dev.9)
* modify logic that handles goto-fragment (e.g., G #foo) to update the URL
shown in the info page (Debian #113734) -TD
