I imagine this could be a problem with the upstream version and not debian
itself, but as the subject says, after an upgrade to pgplot 5.2.2,
pgperl no longer works.

Specifically, when attempting to start the pgplot server, it complains
as follows:

perl: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libpgplot.so.5: undefined symbol: s_cat

Subject: PGPERL problem

This bug should be changed to reflect the fact that the package conflict
now exists in woody. PGPERL is non functional in woody now (as pgplot5
5.2.2 managed to filter back into woody finally). A workaround is to
downgrade to the version in potato.

I would like to know if I should perhaps have filed a bug report against
pgplot5 to prevent it from getting into woody where it would break the
functionality of another package?

Thanks!
Dav

Can you send me the script or command sequence you're using that
produces this? I'm unclear on what you mean by 'start the pgplot
server'.
