When using ibus-mozc in x11 sessions, the candidate window is empty. I 
see the issue in Debian unstable (GNOME on Xorg), and have previously 
confirmed it in Ubuntu on Xorg and Xubuntu. The issue is not present in 
wayland sessions.

The issue seems to be related to the fix of 
<https://bugs.debian.org/967641>. In Ubuntu 22.10 that fix was reverted 
for now to make ibus-mozc usable also on x11:
