Hi,
This package was packaged when ibus or its related software needed this as build dep.
Since then, it is not using this as I vaguely remember.
I was going to orphan or ask to remove this huge package.
Do you have active use case for this?
Do you want to take over?
Once I find time to check current facts around this, I may ask package removal unless
someone takes over.

I just found that python-babel has version 36 embedded and for python-babel's current upstream version v41 is required.
