Dear Camm,
In the previous release cycle, I have split the `mime-support` package
into two: `media-types` supplies /etc/mime.types and `mailcap` supplies
the mailcap system. `mime-support` is now a transitional package that
I would like to remove from Debian.
xmaxima and maxima-emacs recommend the mime-support package. Can you
replace it with either media-types or mailcap according to your needs?
Alternatively, if it appears that you do not directly need the presence
of the /etc/mime.types file or the availability of the mailcap system,
you can just drop the recommends entirely. I searched for keywords such
as mime.types and mailcap via codesearch.debian.net and could not find
evidence of use.
Have a nice day,
Charles
