Dear Maintainer,

Niels gave his explicit permission to drop clause 3, the "advertising" clause, from his code.
This restores the GPL compatibility.

Request if the same can be updated in this package.

Regardless of what permission Niels has given, I can't unilaterally
change it in Debian's OpenSSH packaging; it needs to be updated upstream
first.  Please file a bug at bugzilla.mindrot.org about this and mark
this bug as forwarded (I don't think it makes sense for me to be in the
middle here).
