fixed 507818 2.9.5-2
thanks
Hello Maciej,
I cannot reproduce this bug with 2.9.5-2, and reading debian/changelog, there
seems to be no changes which could be related to the issue.
Maintainers: I suggest to lower the bug severity, or at least tag it as
unreproducible.
My mlnet.log:

Attention!
This core is running with glibc 2.8 but it was compiled with glibc 2.7.
This can lead to unexpected behaviour. Consider compiling the core yourself
or getting a binary compiled with glibc 2.7.

Kindly,
David
P.S.: a possible bug would be that, if --background is used
in /etc/init.d/mldonkey-server, no log is written, while without we have log,
but the process hanging in the shell.

I want to analyse this situation better but I don't know where to start.
Are there some tests that I could execute?

Message #26 received at 507818@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox):
On 2.9.5-2 version I have the same problem.
I have try to compile mlnet from source (2.9.7) - successfully.
First running of mlnet:
---
[cO] Starting MLDonkey 2.9.7 ...
[cO] Language PL, locale UTF-8, ulimit for open files 1024
[cO] MLDonkey is working in /root/.mldonkey
[cO] creating new MLDonkey base directory in /root/.mldonkey
[cO] loaded language resource file
[DNS] Resolving [carbon] ...
[DNS] Resolving [www.mldonkey.org] ...
[cO] Logging in /root/.mldonkey/mlnet.log
[dMain] Core started
---
Everything OK.
Second running of mlnet:
---
[cO] Starting MLDonkey 2.9.7 ...
[cO] Language PL, locale UTF-8, ulimit for open files 1024
[cO] MLDonkey is working in /root/.mldonkey
[Gettext] Loading language resource mlnet_strings.pl_PL.UTF-8
[cO] loaded language resource file
[DNS] Resolving [carbon] ...
[DNS] Resolving [www.mldonkey.org] ...
Syntax error while parsing file downloads.ini at pos
29817:(Failure("float_of_string"))
it seems that downloads.ini is corrupt,
try to use a backup from /root/.mldonkey/old_config
---
What's wrong? Mlnet creates corrupted "downloads.ini"?
---
# perl -e '$aa+=length; if ($aa>29817){print;exit};' -n downloads.ini
buffer_writes_delay = 30.
---
So in my case the bug is very reproducible ;)

Message #31 received at 507818@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox):
I have a solution:
"export LANG=C"
fixes the problem.
Ronny Chilinski - thank you.
I've put this line to /etc/init.d/mldonkey-server and now everything is
working well.
