I have added azureus to the autostart programs. The session preferences
offer the option to deactivate individual autostart entries. I tried to
disable azureus temporarily. However, regarless of being marked as
inactive, the program is started each time I log on.

Hi,

I don't have such a problem on my system. Can you make sure this is a
problem in GNOME and not something in Azureus by adding something else
as autostart (say gcalctool) and setting it as disabled?
